I write about my life experiences. The title of this writing is, “Animalia Terrain”. Therefore before anyone gets offended let me explain and clarify Animalia Terrain. Scientifically we all derived from the Ape animal to today, no offense to any religious people or theory. I go to church, my religion is Catholic Christian therefore I am not against religion. I am simply explaining something in the Science topic. Animalia is “one of the basic groups of living things that comprises either all the animals or all the multicellular animals compare animal kingdom, plantae, protista”. Terrain is “a stretch of land, territory, ground, etc”. Yes, we humans, ex apes sometimes display Animalia Terrain behavior.

I live in Texas and sometimes go visit San Antonio, Texas where I grew up. On one visit I got to do something that I had not done before and that is rest and surf the internet. When I lived in San Antonio I would go to the Spurs basketball games. I surfed the internet and saw that the wife of the Spurs coach had died. Eeks it was seven years ago that she died of cancer. Oh wow I thought. I sent social media condolences to offer my condolences. I have not met the man but would see him at the basketball games. To me it was the polite thing to do. My field is Customer Service and I have also had the extended version of Customer Service training called IT Service Management. I enjoy communicating with people and i am friendly with no under intentions, unless offering a sample of thee. Well, I sent out my message of condolences, then went out in the Lobby where I was greeted by two females looking me up and down as if I had just taken something from them. I thought “my gosh man what the heck is with these females”. I went upstairs then on the way downstairs I decided to give a reply stare back since they once again displayed Animalia Terrain behavior. I decided to stair at them with the “hey not here to take away your whatever that you feel is your property”. See what I am talking about Animalia Terrain. These females thought that they had to protect their terrain because here was an outsider (me) seen as a threat to their Animalia Terrain.

I went to San Antonio, Texas for a job interview. During the interview I asked myself, “why did I come here for this interview”. Well, after the job interview the interviewer told an employee that she could have offered me two dollars more but did not want to or feel like it. As I overheard I thought, “ouch”. I left and then turned down the job offer. It was not discrimination because of color or any other reason why she did not want to offer me two dollars more like the other employee made. The reason for the interviewers behavior was Animalia Terrain behavior. The interviewer did not display dislike or discrimination, the interviewer displayed Animalia Terrain behavior. See what I am talking about Animalia Terrain. This female thought she had to protect her terrain, because here was an outsider (me) seen as a threat to her Animalia Terrain.

We have all at one time in our life displayed the Animalia Terrain behavior. Men and Women have both displayed what I call Animalia Terrain, natural behavior. We have been instilled, we have in our DNA, we have in our Genes those Animalia Terrain traits, that we must state our terrain or lose our terrain. This is mine. This belongs to me. The apes would pound the chest in a statement that THIS is mine and accept or else. Well, in both instances the females did honestly look like they were ready to kick my ass, unless I accepted their “this is mine” attitude. I was not offended or insulted, I simply brushed it off as Animalia Terrain behavior and laughed it off with a friend then with another friend.

SIDE NOTE . . . Before you say, oh no you would never display or have Animalia Terrain. What about when you mother in law or someone wants to cook in YOUR kitchen. Then makes some delicious foods in YOUR kitchen. Next time will you have the attitude of, “my kitchen is your kitchen” or “this is MY kitchen and I don’t want you cooking in my kitchen”. Then you justify your attitude with “ well __ makes a mess in my kitchen that’s why”. Hum, that sounds like Animalia Terrain to me 🙂
